He founded his own consulting firm in the greater Houston area and has expanded his reach to the younger generations. His formula in leveraging recycled commodities in the industry allowing for his clients to allocate funding based on future profits.

Along with Mr. Shaw, is Clarke Underwood, who has served on many advisory boards. He has been on a multitude of advisory boards that have served several fortune 1000 companies. He has engineered creative yet strategic finance platforms for startups that did not have assets to leverage to acquire the funding that they needed. Mr. Underwood is a key finance strategist for 8th St. Capital, he has been referred to as “savior” by many start up clients. He has allowed 8th Street to use his private contacts as a basis for clients to get funded as well as expand their current businesses.

Then there’s JR Vasques who joined the team in 2025. He’s been the director of debt structuring and debt leveraging for the firm. His expertise in his department has given insight to the utilization of debt restructuring to refocus financing for clients. Clients that have liabilities on the books will have the ability to refocus their debt structure with options to refinance and or have their debt, bought and sold.
